NEW YORK CITY LOFT APARTMENT FLOOR PLAN

CHILDREN'S LIBRARY

The concept for this children’s library proposes that a design that integrates fun and activities with reading can lead to a greater desire to read and therefore learn. A landscape of faceted foam and a program that integrates books and activity provides a library that blurs boundaries. Children can climb hills of foam to read at the top, partake in an activity in a skewed house or write on any wall. Children can meander through the space to discover books tucked into the landscape along the way.
